Labeling & Tasks
Define labeling templates, dispatch tasks to annotators, and accelerate work with auto-labeling.
Overview
A labeling template describes the question and answer schema annotators see. Labeling tasks are individual items to be labeled. The dispatcher assigns tasks to annotators, and auto-label pre-fills predictions so reviewers only correct rather than label from scratch.
Labeling templates
| GET | /api/v1/labeling-templates | List labeling templates. |
| POST | /api/v1/labeling-templates | Create a labeling template. |
Labeling tasks
| GET | /api/v1/labeling-tasks | List labeling tasks, filterable by status. |
| GET | /api/v1/labeling-tasks/{id} | Retrieve a labeling task. |
| POST | /api/v1/labeling-tasks/{id}/submit | Submit an annotation for a task. |
Dispatcher
The dispatcher controls how tasks are matched to annotators based on skill, availability, and load.
| POST | /api/v1/dispatcher/assign | Request the next task assignment. |
| GET | /api/v1/dispatcher/performance | Read dispatcher throughput and gate metrics. |
Auto-label
Auto-label generates model predictions for a batch of tasks so annotators review instead of label from scratch.
| POST | /api/v1/autolabel | Run auto-labeling over a set of tasks. |
See the full schema and parameters in the Label Backend API reference.
